Train to Teach English Locally or Internationally

Based on Communicative Language Teaching Methodology

  • Learner-centeredness. Plan for a classroom that puts learners at the heart of the teaching process.

  • Meaningful communication. Classes are organized around providing opportunities for students to practice authentic language production.

  • Focus on form. Student-centered language clarifications spotlight such techniques as deductive learning and guided discovery.

This 120-hour comprehensive course includes:

  • Guided lesson observations. Learn from watching experienced teachers; focus on different aspects of the lesson each time.

  • Input sessions. Start by increasing language awareness and basic classroom management, build up to the task cycle, language clarification and lesson planning for both skills and systems lessons.

  • Micro-teaching. Test your knowledge out by teaching your colleagues and getting feedback from your trainer.

  • Teaching practice. You'll get experience teaching real students at two different levels, with personalized feedback each time you teach.

  • Reflective practice. Learn how to learn. By keeping a reflective journal, you'll become more aware of your skills, increase your autonomy as a reflective practitioner, and learn how to keep improving beyond the course.
