Atia, from Madagascar, Talks About Takinng EFA's Fully Online CELTA Course

Mohamed Oummih

Hello everyone,

My name is Atia Nandjee/Hassim, and I’m from Madagascar. I had the opportunity to take an online CELTA course with English for Africa.

At first, I was really concerned about the workload and the course itself. Like many, I had heard a lot about the assignments and the teaching practice, and honestly, I was a bit intimidated.

But as the weeks went by, with the continuous support and advice from our tutors, I found myself becoming more confident, and alhamdoulillah, I was able to succeed in the course. Every tutor had their own unique personality—one was funny and always encouraging, while the others’ advice landed at the perfect moments when I really needed it. Their support truly helped me anchor my learning and push through the challenges.

It was a challenging but incredibly rewarding experience!

If you're considering taking the CELTA and are located in Africa, or nearby like me, I would highly recommend THE EFA CENTER. At the end of the course, one of our tutors showed us an image of a key and said, "CELTA is the key that will open new doors, new opportunities."

Inshallah, I’m excited to harness my teaching skills and apply what I’ve learned from this course.
